This basket was created using road maps from Mexico, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.  The added varnish makes it a nice, sturdy basket.  I found the pattern in the Sierra Magazine and it was based on a project by Jane Patrick Creative Director of Schacht Spindle Company and author of Time to Weave, from Craft, vol. 5.
